How much does the Lithuanian exam cost?
The official exam fee is €52 in 2026 (was €49 in 2025). After receiving registration confirmation, payment must be completed within 24 hours or your application is cancelled. Register at eksternams.nsa.smm.lt.
How many exam sessions are there in 2026?
There are 15 Category I (A1-A2) exam sessions planned for 2026, with up to 800 candidates per session nationwide.
What is the exam structure?
The exam has three parts, all conducted at municipality-based examination centers: (1) Reading & writing — computer-based, (2) Listening — computer-based with headphones, (3) Speaking — oral interview with an examiner.
How long does it take to get results?
Results are published within 15 business days on the NŠA portal (eksternams.nsa.smm.lt) and sent to your email. Certificates are prepared by NŠA within 7 business days after results, then delivered to your exam center within 3 business days.
Where do I register for the exam?
For language category certification (work), register at eksternams.nsa.smm.lt. Registration opens 30 days before each exam and closes 7 days before. For permanent residency exams, register through your Migris account at migracija.lt.
What should I bring to the exam?
Bring a valid passport or ID card (original). Arrive at least 30 minutes early. The exam is computer-based, no pen or paper needed. Phones must be turned off.
Can I retake the exam if I fail?
Yes. You can retake the exam at the next available session. The retake fee is the same (€52). There is no limit on the number of attempts.
Can I appeal my exam results?
Yes. If you disagree with your evaluation, you can submit a signed appeal to the NŠA Director within 2 business days after results are announced. Send the appeal by email to info@nsa.smsm.lt.
Who needs the Constitution exam?
The Constitution exam is required only for permanent residency (PRP) and citizenship applications. It consists of 20 multiple-choice questions on a computer, conducted in Lithuanian. It is NOT required for standard TRP renewals.

Yes. Most practice content works offline once loaded on the mobile app. The web version requires an internet connection.
Which languages are supported?
Website pages are currently available in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. Practice instructions and translations are available in 7 languages: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Hindi, and Urdu.
